Course Aims: This course aims to equip you with foundational Polish language skills, emphasizing practical communication, cultural immersion, and real-world application. You will learn to:

• Express basic personal details like age, nationality, profession, and telephone number.
• Describe someone’s appearance and discuss your interests.

Methodology: Our approach is interactive and engaging, integrating listening, reading, speaking, and some writing exercises. The course focuses on task-based learning, making your first steps in Polish both fun and effective.

Class Size and Duration:

• Classes are limited to 6 students for an immersive and effective learning environment.
• The beginner course spans 15 hours over 10 weeks, with continuation courses available.

What You Will Learn:

By the end of the course, you will be adept at:

• Basic Expressions: Master greetings, self-introductions, and everyday interactions.
• Describing People: Acquire vocabulary for physical descriptions.
• Personal Information: Discuss age, nationality, profession, appearance, and phone numbers using appropriate language structures.
• Interests and Hobbies: Engage in conversations about hobbies and personal interests.
• Cultural Insights: Gain a deeper understanding of Polish culture and customs, helping to avoid any cultural misunderstandings.

Key Vocabulary and Grammar:

• Numbers 0-100: Essential for personal details and more.
• Nationalities and Professions: Learn how to talk about yourself and others.
• Simple Grammar: Grasp sentence formation basics to build your own phrases.
• Adjective Gender and Verb Conjugations: Understand adjective-noun agreement and basic verb patterns.
• Polish Cases: Introduction to using the Nominative and Instrumental case in Polish. Focus Areas: Emphasis on pronunciation, sentence formation, and basic comprehension of spoken and written language.

• All lecturers are highly qualified, with MA degrees in Polish Studies, postgraduate studies, or courses in teaching Polish as a foreign language and are native Polish speakers.

Flexible Scheduling: Choose from a variety of course times to fit your schedule – evening, weekend, intensive, morning, and lunch-time options, all conducted online.

Level A1 Completion: It takes 5 to 8 courses (80 – 120 hrs) to complete the A1 level. Upon finishing this foundational course, you'll be ready to tackle more complex aspects of the Polish language. The next levels introduce expanded vocabulary, improved grammatical skills, and the ability to express yourself in broader contexts. Your journey in Polish continues with us as you grow in proficiency and confidence.
