Course Content |
The students after this course will know how to express in Polish the following notions and functions:
expressing opinions
indignation and protest
compliment
requesting advice
argumentation
fear-anxiety-indifference-fascination
comparisons
expressing opinions and argumentation
The students will be acquainted with advanced aspects of Polish grammar:
double and multiple negation
surnames, diminutives, the imperative mood
masculine-personal and non-masculine-personal forms, the aspect of verbs, names of activities
active adjectival participle; word order in an adjectival attribute; the conditional mood
passive adjectival participle; the passive voice; denominal adjectives
the syntax of numerals; declension of cardinal numerals; compound words
simultaneous and anticipatory adverbial participles; collective numerals; terms denoting abstract characteristics
non-personal forms; the reflective voice; feminine nouns

Course objectives |
Upper Intermediate course is predicted for students who have taken at least 300 hours of polish language.
The course is based on the textbook "Kiedyś wrócisz tu...I Gdzie nadwiślański brzeg" by E.Lipińska and E.G. Dąbska.
The emphasis of this course is on speaking and listening skills.
