General Information about Polish Language State Certificates

The aim of State Certificate in Polish is to define competence in Polish language irrespective of language centers, their curriculums, applied methods and resources.

Adult foreigners as well as Polish citizens living permanently abroad are eligible to take the exam irrespective of where, how long and how they have been studying.

The knowledge of Polish language is defined by the ability to comprehend and use modern spoken and written language.

The exam covers the following modes:
A Listening
B Structures
C Reading
D Writing
E Speaking


Once a candidate has achieved a pass level (60% ) in the five modes a certificate is awarded.

Successful candidates are awarded a grade (excellent, very good, good or satisfactory).
