"English for Polish citizens language training" are intensive weekend courses for Poles living and working in London, who usually (but not always) have some sort of vocabulary, but lack fluency and any knowledge of grammar.
Our courses aim to break fear barriers and to ease students' adjustment to new working relationships in the UK.
After a typical course at Polword students are able to deal freely with everyday situations, eg.: at work, in a bank, using public transport, renting accommodation, arranging and attending a job interview etc.
Our courses attract students of quite a varied age range. As a result we try to adopt different approaches, methods and techniques. We believe that age does not matter - what matters is motivation and willingness to learn English. We usually run small groups up to 10 students and all our teachers are highly qualified. They are all of Polish origin, bilingual and with no visible accent, and hold Master's Degrees in English. This helps considerably in explaining rules and grammar, and boosts students' confidence since they can always have the issues explained to them in Polish. This speeds up the learning process and improves results.
