Beginners Courses
In February, we are starting a few new Polish Online Course for Beginners.
For the last 24 years, Polword has earned a very solid name as a place where you can really learn Polish.
To show you the quality of our courses, you are welcome to try them before enrolling - we are happy to offer you a free trial lesson as we are sure you will love us and stay with us :-)
Since the beginning of the pandemic, all our courses have been held online. The quality is as high as face-to-face courses and the benefit is that you can learn Polish from the comfort of your home.

- Our Polish Online Beginner Courses consist of 15 hrs of material split into 10 weeks
- Continuation courses usually follow afterward.
- The classes are small, with no more than 6 students, so that you are in a perfect environment to immerse in Polish and learn more effectively.
- We are happy to offer you a free trial lesson before you decide to enrol
- If you are not a beginner, we can offer you around 20 courses at various levels which you can join. To see the choice, click here
Programme of the course
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- introduce yourself and other people
- greet people and say good-byes
- ask and give telephone numbers and addresses

talk about yourself - your nationality, age, language, profession, etc.

describe people

talk about hobbies and interests and spending free time

buy clothes all by yourself - prices, sizes, colours, etc.
- learn about some funny/irritating/unusual/usual ways Poles do something and believe
- learn about Polish culture and avoid faux pas!
This year, we run a wide choice of Polish Online Courses for Beginners at varied times and frequency: evening, weekend, intensive, morning and lunch-time courses.
Due to the current situation with the Covid-19, all our courses are held online.
CONTINUATION COURSES
All our Polish Online courses will have their continuation for those who wish to continiue and get a deeper and wider knowledge of the Polish language.
FREE TRIAL LESSONS
We offer taster classes so you have a chance to see a class and a teacher before you commit yourself to a course.
If the dates do not suit you, contact us and we will be happy to accomodate your needs. Due to some high level of interest, we arrange a "pop-up" courses, which are not advertised but fill up very fast.
ABOVE BEGINNER COURSES
We also run almost twenty Polish Online Above Beginner courses, and if you interested to try us, just let us know and we will do the rest :-) We will invite you to a free trial lesson as well as run an assessment and after that we will allocate you with the best suitable group.
All Polish online courses are professionally run by our highly experienced teachers so you can be assured that you are in good hands and quickly can see the effects :-) If you are not so sure, we would like to prove our school is not only the oldest school of Polish in London, but also the best one, and offer you a free trial lesson to see our school, classes, and teachers, and you can decide afterwards whether you like us (we are confident you will).
If you are planning to travel to Poland, you will find our short TRAVEL courses very useful and if you are not confident how to pronounce dzień dobry or przepraszam, our PRONUNCIATION course will come useful :-)
If you are interested in taking State Certificate Exams in Polish in the nearest future, we are the only acredited centre to conduct them in the UK.
The next State Certificate Exams are planned for 5th & 6th 2023. Due to the situation with Covid-19 the times are TBC
