Course Content
After completing this course, the students will be able to express in Polish the following notions and functions:
introducing oneself and other people
greetings and farewells
national identification
formal and informal forms of address
thanking
apologising
professions and hobbies
The set of notions and functions will be taught and practised within the following subjects and situations:
name - age - nationality - professions - interests - everyday routine - free time
The students will be acquainted with basic Polish vocabulary and grammar enabling them constructing basic accurate sentences and communicate freely on a limited level
Course objectives
Polish for Beginners is an introductory course.
It is designed for those who have no previous knowledge of Polish.
It provides a taste of Polish and introduction to Polish culture, traditions and Poland as it is today.
The course is based on the text-book "Krok po kroku" and with its communicative approach enables students to start speaking in no time.
